SriLankan Airlines cancelled my connecting flight – need advice
Flying Mumbai → Colombo → Singapore on 24–25 April. Original plan had me landing in Singapore morning of 25th, with 2 full days there before flying to Bali on 27th (all hotels/activities booked).
Airline cancelled my Colombo → Singapore leg and rebooked me on a flight arriving evening of 26th (24+ hour delay). This basically wipes out my Singapore stay.
Bigger issue: I don’t have a Sri Lanka visa, and the new layover is ~36 hours, so I could be stuck in Colombo.
I’ve asked them (via the third-party booking - viz., Cleartrip, who sent the intimation mail) to rebook me on any airline or alternate route that gets me to Singapore by morning of 25th.
What are my rights here? Can I push for rerouting on another airline? Any tips to escalate effectively?
Thanks!
