Anyone else having to get their mind’s right for this crazy weekend? I worked in fine dining and Mother’s Day weekend always went off without a hitch.

I’ve now been working at a corporate chain and remember how much of a shit show Christmas Day was. I can’t even imagine what the busiest day in our industry is going to be like.

And look what is being staged on the top of the aisles. Asked one of the associates when they’d make their way to the shelves and he said about 2 weeks. This makes my fall colored heart happy. 🍁🍁🍁

I work full time and looking to get started soon as a side hustle. I would like to jump on in and see how it goes for a year or so to determine if this is something I can scale as a full on business opportunity.

Couple of things:

  1. How do I know how much I should charge? I have seen so many ranges on here and elsewhere online. Should it be solely by the number of windows? Most of the homes in my neighborhood are 2,000 square feet and up.

  2. Do you need to carry insurance if working as a side hustle? I live in a community of older GenXers and Boomers and I feel if I target my neighborhood first, this could come up.

  3. Payment? Cash, Zelle, Venmo, CashApp,, etc. Should I get a card reader to swipe or tap on my phone?

  4. Do I need to register as a business and are there any tax liabilities involved early on?

  5. Is Social Media and D2D the most effective way to get your name out there to generate business?

Thanks in advance for anyone that chime's in!
