Childhood 3DS working but with some issues: safe to homebrew?
hello! recently I found my childhood 3ds charger and it turns out it still works and still has all of my games in it. however I've encountered some issues:
First is that the clock resets when I change it, but if I just leave it as is (01/01/2011), it will work "normally". I've read a lot of people say this has to do with the battery, but as of right now I dont have the right screwdriver to open the lid. it doesn't seem to have ballooned from the outside, though (I'll still include pics anyway). Also I'm not sure what I could do to fix it if it's something to do with the connectors (?) as I'm not a very handy person.
Second is that it had suddenly turned off with a pop 2 times in the last 3 days. It seems that when I have it plugged to the charger (even if the battery is full) this doesn't happen, but I'm honestly not so sure.
Besides these problems, everything is apparently working very well. Also, for the record, nintendo doesn't offer support of any type of replacement/repair service in my country, so if I have to resort to that, it'll have to be some sort of third-party or unofficial repair service (if I even find one where I live). Is my 3ds safe to homebrew? Mind you, I've never done anything of the sort so please forgive my lack of knowledge on the subject
edit: forgot to include the pics lol here's an imgur link
