Hi! New Owner Of a Gaming Laptop and Crimson Desert
Hi!
I recently became the owner of an HP Omen Max 16 laptop (the version with a 5080, 32GB of RAM, and an Intel Core i9 Ultra). I have to confess that I've always been a console gamer; I have a PS5 and a Nintendo Switch, and I never thought I'd have a place to play with much better resolutions and smoother gameplay.
I didn't buy the laptop; it was a gift that came with a Xiaomi monitor with 2K resolution and a 100Hz refresh rate. Because of this, I have many questions about the computer's overall performance, but specifically about the best way to play this game without putting too much strain on my computer.
The thing is, I've played for about 5 hours spread over the last 3-4 days because I haven't had a chance to sit down and play properly, and because I'm a little worried about the temperatures.
My setup is as shown in the images, and these past few days I've had average temperatures of 85-88°C for both the CPU and GPU with the automatic vents, and 81-83 with the vents at max. My laptop is on a stand that suspends it to allow the fan to breathe, but it's not a cooling pad.
Do you have any advice regarding the temperatures? What about optimization?
I apologize if my questions seem obvious or silly, as I've never played on a PC before, and although I have watched some helpful videos (especially regarding drivers), I've always preferred the opinions of real users.
I also apologize if I use any incorrect words, as English isn't my first language.
Thank you very much. 😁
