A moral fantasy in R
Get to a DF where I have to print a number of rows and select some columns based on logic.
Sigh I don't feel like working this out... Hey Google AI ask it to print out the number of rows correct with how many there should be in the outcome at least.
Google AI responds with one-line hyperelegant code to perform this task. Sigh of relief. Now on to the column manipulation... make my B-student patchwork kajiggering work. Check result.
Huh. It looks like it worked but it duplicated the number of rows needed. Check my work past the Google-generated line. Can't find any errors. What the heck.
Considered its acting on the Google-generated line that already counted the rows... I realized in my humble Cinderelly-mouse-made-dress code subconsciously used logic that would have produced the necessary printing the correct number of rows to begin with.
It felt like the end of an afterschool cartoon, where some fairy came up to me and said "see? the power was inside you... all along..."
I deleted that one line. Incredible drama.
