My son got this box at target and this relic style blank was in the pack. Is this some sort of common manufacturing “defect”. Happen to anyone else before?

Had a reputable company come by for an annual cleaning when I wasn’t home. Scared the shit out of my wife with their report out suggesting do not use further and suggesting entire 20k+ system upgrade. I had the same pitch last year. It felt off at the time and sleazy . This is a workhorse defiant that I love and have been burning (6 cords this winter) in without issue and with regular maintenance since we moved in 5 years ago (no issues on home inspection by the way) and who knows for how long prior. As you can see in photos it goes up through ceiling, through upstairs bedroom, and then through roof. I’m open to all the criticism and perspective that this report is worth taking seriously. I had a row of 8 Thuja green Giants installed a few weeks ago. As you know trees at this height installed - not inexpensive. I was installing the drip line this morning and noticed that there are quite a few branches coming out of the main trunk at the soil line. The rootball was planted quite deep. Before I put down mulch and leave these be to acclimate - appreciate groups pov - eg whether I should be trimming branches up a few inches from ground / digging out rootball etc. thank you.

Our family has made the incredibly difficult decision to find a new home for our girl Sunny. She is 2-years old fiercely loyal, great with our kids, and an amazing property guardian on our two acres in the Catskills where she's kept our chickens safe from every fox, bear, coyote, raccoon, and hawk that's come through.

Sunny needs to be the only pet in her home with room to run, and we have another smaller, incumbent dog. That's the simple truth of why this doesn't work for us — not because she isn't a wonderful dog, but because she needs a situation we can't give her.

She's dog-reactive and anxious, but is not aggressive towards people (though she barks like hell at delivery drivers). She's spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and comes with full vet records. Her full profile is at the link.
