Book recs for a 16 y/o
Hi!
I really want to get my little brother to get back into reading - we live somewhere where we dont have access to a library or even bookstores in english, so i cant take him anywhere to have him decide for himself
He spends a lot of time on roblox, youtube, and instagram and i know thats what every kid does now but i dont think its healthy
He used to read a lot and i think it would be good for him to get back into it
Mid s2, my little brother said he didnt want to watch the PJO show anymore because he wishes it was darker
Now i hope this doesnt sound silly and makes sense, but what are some books that are dark but still suitable for a 16 year old boy? Please dont say THG or the maze runner
Preferably something with easy-ish vocab because he hasnt read all that much since he read pjo as a kid
Also something where romance is minimal or in general isnt part of the main plot
His current interests include: world history and the amazing digital circus (lol)
Even though he likes world history, he doesnt really enjoy historical fiction that doesnt have any fantasy or sci fi elements
