Why so many similar tools?

Why so many similar tools?

I recently got a 20V grass trimmer and a 20V leaf blower.

Now I see that my Lidl soon will have a very similar grass trimmer but it’s not the same, this one has thread on only one side (pictured) while the one I got has on both sides, other than that they look identical. And it’s 2€ cheaper. And they will also sell a “multi blower” that looks very similar to the leaf blower I got but it has multiple attachments. Same price.

I’ve seen other similar examples of several tools that are very similar.

My question is: why do they sell so many tools that are almost identical? It must be more expensive to have so many variants of a tool, than to stick to just one?

Hi all,

A year ago I bought a pan from Lidl. I’ve been very happy with it so when I today saw a pan in Lidl, I bought two of them.

When I got home, I saw that the new pans are branded Silvercrest and the old pan is branded Livarno. Does anyone know if there’s a difference? What brand is best, if it matters at all?

Thanks!

Hi all,

I have a Dreame A1.

I have a front and back yard connected via a path over a paved area. The charging station is on this paved area.

Last year, I made these two areas into two zones. The problem was I could not make a path to the charging station from Zone B, I could only create a path to Zone A. So when I wanted to mow Zone B, the A1 first had to go to Zone A, make a 180 turn and then go to Zone B.

Then Dreame made a software update, enabling it to have several maps. Great! So now I can create separate maps for the front and back yard. Then, the robot should be able to go directly to each map from the charging station.

My question is: does scheduling work with this setup? Can it mow Map 1 on Monday and Map 2 on Tuesday? I can’t find an answer.

Any input is appreciated. Thanks!
