Ruehl no.925, Specifically inspired by Greenwich Village in New York City.

This was a short lived spinoff brand by Abercrombie, which targeted young adults in their 20’s and 30’s. Even though they ended the brand, Abercrombie soon after shifted their main brand to target young adults while it used Hollister to target teens.

The stores were also equally as dark as the other brands under Abercrombie

Just like the old hollister stores, their spinoff brands were also specially designed.

It was originally themed around Sydney Australia, and the stores were designed to look like English Manors, but were equally as dark and scent polluted as the Hollister and Abercrombie stores.

All of these stores closed in 2013, and any Gilly Hicks store seen now was opened in 2017 or later during a resurrection of the brand. (Although I’ll note that most of the new stores have closed, and have mostly integrated into existing Hollister stores)

within 4 years, Pacsun has changed their store at the Mall of America 3 times, all to launch new spinoff brands.

- 2021: Opened Pacsun Kids

- 2023: Changed to PAC 1980 (activewear line)

- 2025: Changed to Pacsun Denim

While they’re all still available online, it’s seems like they’re desperate for something to stick, and are trying all possibilities. Next year it’ll probably be pacsun workwear or something.
