FIT or SVA for illustration program?? pls help

I got accepted into SVA and FIT for the fall 2026 semester :) I heard a lot of great things about SVA but i barely hear anything about FIT besides their reputation with their fashion program. for SVA i would have to pay roughly 30k a year in student loans after aid but for FIT I can afford the tuition (im instate for both). can anyone tell me their experiences from going to these schools and if its worth it to pursue illustration at SVA despite the loans? I really want to make children books and im just concerned if i wont make good connections at fit.

i also got into Pratt with roughly 30k aid but bc of the 60k tuition i would have to pay 30k regardless :(.

pls help a girl outtt!!!!
