Cortis shouldn't be immune from criticism just because they're teenagers.

To be clear, I don't think their looks should be discussed at all, minors or not, so that is not what I'm talking about here.

However, I do think criticizing their music and to a point their actions is fair game.

Any time someone says they don't like a song by Cortis, you can count on the responses to be "they're literally teenagers btw," "you're literally criticizing teenagers," "you could never accomplish what they have at 17" etc etc.

Yes some of them are teenagers, but they also made the choice to become public figures who release music to the public so yeah I do think the public has the right to say "I thought that song was bad." And good on them for being self-produced, but sometimes self-produced songs are still bad.

They're also teenagers, not children, and therefore self aware of themselves and what they do, so yes I think they can face criticism for their actions. Regardless of if they're 17 I am going to call an obvious blaccent a blaccent.

I also don't even think their fans inoculating them from criticism like this will help them grow as artists. If anything they do is okay because they're teenagers and any song they put is out is great because they're teenagers, there's no room to grow.

What do you do with the middle schoolers who think it's sooooo funny to "snitch" on their friends for every little thing?

This is something I haven't quite figured out. It'll be stuff like

"Miss he just shut my chromebook!"

"Miss he just said a bad word!"

"Miss he stole my water bottle!"

And it's pretty much never them actually telling me that someone did something that upsets them, it's just them "snitching" on little jokes between friends because they think it's hilarious.

Sometimes I ask if they want me to take that complaint seriously and actually inform the dean, and that kind of helps, but then they're back to it in a few minutes. What do you do to shut that kind of thing down?

I’m wondering if there could have been an incorrect wire cut or something adjusted incorrectly by a mechanic that caused this to happen. Previously I had zero issues with my front wipers, and the back wipers are still working fine.

I have a 2014 VW Jetta Sportwagen.

This is more of an observation than anything but I feel like a lot of fans will say that their faves are fluent in a second language when they're probably closer to conversational than anything. True fluency in a language is an ability to have any conversation on any subject with ease, and just because idols are able to handle short interview questions in another language doesn't mean they've reached that level.

I don't mean this as shade or criticism to the idols AT ALL. I am also working really hard on improving my second language right now and I know first hand that language learning is difficult and just getting to a conversational level requires learning so much vocabulary and so many grammatical rules. I think idols who use their limited free time to take on that challenge deserve soooo much credit regardless of their skill level.

I feel like fans want to bestow the label of "fluent in x language" on their faves because they feel like true fluency is the only level of language learning that is impressive, but just getting to a fairly proficient level in a new language still requires a lot of work and is still an accomplishment that I think these idols deserve credit for!
