What's up guys, im new here and new to peformance engine internals.
I got an question about 2 different brands that make conrods for an 2.5 Volvo engine.
First one is, MaxSpeedingRods. Has anybody any experience with this brand? Looks like its to good to be true for that price.
Second one is, K1 witch is a brand ive never heard of.
Any suggestions and tips are welcome!
Is the beautypannel removable? Or do i have to take the whole thing out of it?
This might be the only thing left to do when the v50 is finished (as far as a project car can be finished).
Who doesnt love the sound of an sequential gearbox!?
Whats up guys, quick update and question.
The shortblock itself is in good condition, no cracks or anything. The reason for the coolant leak and compression loss was a blown headgasket.
Now for the question.
I need to know the specs of the pistons and conrods.
Piston bore is 83.00mm.
But i don't know where i can find the compression ratio and conrod specs, since i want to order them so the block can be machined and checked for the right bearings.

Ive got good news and bad news.
The good news: no cracked cylinder walls.
The bad news: its a warped head and shortblock.
I will send it to a machinery to let them have a look at it aswell.
I hoped for a cracked cylinder wall.
Didnt expect to see a in good condition shortblock....
