


Running in the evenings & losing weight
I'm 32F trying to loose weight. Is it possible to run in the evenings without going low while cutting calories?
My last bolus was 11ish am and I started my run prob around 5:15pm. I use an omnipod and I suspended insulin for 3 to 4 hours prior to the run. Full pause, not activity mode. Around 4pm I had a banana then later I had an apple then 30min before the run I had a slice of pizza. By a 1.5 miles in I was already going low so I had two gel blocs (prob 8g of carbs per block). And by mile 3 I was in the 40s. I spent a decent amount of calories just fueling for a run. Is there a way to run in the evenings while losing weight without fueling or just a normal amount of carbs like one gel? I'm only running under 4 miles. I dont know why a banana, apple, and pizza can't do the trick sustaining my bg. For reference I'm trying to eat about 1800cals a day (im prob already 200-300 over just trying to fuel this run). Am I doing something wrong? Pls help
