The benefits of no Nintendo Directs (or fewer) in favour of shadow drop trailers…

I love a Nintendo Direct as much as the next person but personally I’m really happy with how all these trailer drops are coming over the main Direct system.

With a Direct there’s a release pattern and then an announcement and then everyone expects Mario and Zelda and then a disappointment and good games get missed as it’s too much info at once etc.

This way Nintendo has been releasing info has a nice surprise element to it. It allows the game to shine on its own. There are no unrealistic expectations it’s battling and everyone can think about it for a week until the next thing.

Nintendo are still going to be releasing all the games we know they will. There’s been at least one good/great Switch 2 game ever month, I’m busy having fun playing games and can’t wait for the rest of the year!

Is magnetic mask not as good as people make out or please tell me what I’m doing wrong (video)

Whenever I watch tutorials on YT, the mask always seems to work great and when it doesn't, a combination of adding extra + or - or using the paint brush option fixes the mask.

But almost always when I try to add the mask, it either jumps around or doesn't correct itself. In this screen grab, it does a good job of getting the car (though it does skip for a frame and later loses it near the left egde) but I want the shadow too. I've tried both adding more + icons and rescanning but it doesn't seem to add it as I go, or drawing the mask on but then it only works frame by frame.

Any tips for what I'm doing wrong would be great. I'm sure I'm missing something or is it just very hit or miss?
