Hey r/slowpitch, I'm the creator of slugstats.com. The platform has grown over the last few weeks, and I thought it would be fun to share some early insights.

Pulled completely anonymized summary data on 2,000+ plat appearances. A few things that jumped out:

- Global slash line: .599/.626/.946

- On average, about 1 HR every 20 at-bats

- Line drives turn into hits 87% of the time. Pop-ups: 20%

Selection bias caveat: This is data from people engaged enough to log ABs on a tracking app, so it skews toward more committed players with higher stats. Also, the vast majority of these at-bats are slowpitch softball, but there may be baseball, fastpitch, etc. in the mix.

I've been getting more serious about softball the last few seasons. A few of us on my team were tracking stats using random apps, but:

Current free apps were all pretty janky and difficult to use, OR
They would block certain stats behind paywalls (50$ a season just to see my homeruns?!)

So here's www.slugstats.com . It's completely free, no ads, no subscriptions, and it's cross platform.

Here are some features:

- No signup needed for personal tracking on the apps. It's encouraged for teams and cloud saving, but not at all mandatory.

- Create a team, add other real users or "roster players" (to track for players who don't have the app)

- Create and schedule team or individual games and track your at bats over seasons.

- Spray charts, hit trajectories, Averages, totals, insights, etc.

- CSV export if you want to move off of the app or import into your own spreadsheets.
