The battery on my XPS 15 7590 was very old and decided to stop charging. When holding the power button the lights and fan turn on for a few seconds, but that's all it can muster. Bought a new battery from Dell, and replaced it, but now when holding the power button, nothing happens. Put my old battery back in and the lights and fan turn on like usual.

Figured that it was unlikely that it didn't have any charge at all, but trying to charge it was the only idea I had. Had it plugged in for 8 hours, and the same thing is happening.

Any ideas why my computer seems to not recognize the battery at all?
