The bosch cargo line motor was stolen from my cargo bike batavus fier 2 2 months ago. I have contacted nearby dealer for a new motor. He quoted around 25000 SEK ( ~$2500). I have accepted it but since then it became a one-way communication. There is no response from him claiming that neither bosch nor batavus dealers in Copenhagen are responding to him. It been 2 months since the theft and the leftover bicycle was catching dust and rusting in the parking. I have written to bosch customer care but no response. What are my options now?
Edit: I have contacted few more dealers in my town. Let's see how it goes.
Yes, my home insurance covers bike theft upto $3500. But the police report mentioned only motor and drivetrain. So the insurance company said it will cover only the repairs as long as the motor model is same.
Edit 2: I got a response from bosch yesterday asking for the dealer details. At last, a positive response after 2 months. I will keep posting updates here.
