Towers are the perfect solution to the housing crisis, but people are not ready for this conversation yet
Did you know how feudalism started? How castles were built? Well, it all started with towers!
Yes sir, you read that correctly: towers; knights and other types of vassals were rewarded by their respective lord with a tower, the tower not only served the purpose to be the personal fief of the vassal, but also a defence and surveillance position and that's also why they started to expand them and eventually they became castles.
Now I'm not saying we should build a castle for every single citizen, that's expensive and occupies a lot of space, what I'm saying is that towers are cheap, small and grant a good zone of view against criminals who try break into them.
Just some stone brick and presto, it's done! People have been doing it with no issues 1000 years ago, it shouldn't be a problem now.
And before you say: "like skyscrapers?" I have to stop you right there because you clearly have no idea of what you are talking about, I am talking about towers, get it? Good, old fashioned and safe towers; as the knighthood (and above titles) intended.
