Elderly person with Alzheimer’s found wandering at night
On Friday my partner and I noticed an elderly woman in her pj’s walking around a parking lot around 9pm. She looked lost so we asked her and she said she was. After this it became apparent that she likely had Alzheimer’s. Her story wasn’t making sense and she told us her husband was at work. We ended up offering her a ride home, and at first she couldn’t remember her address. After naming some nearby streets she was able to direct us home and she lived at a nearby retirement community. Should I call them to make sure this was reported? The young lady at the desk didn’t say much when I helped her inside but it just seemed really strange that someone with Alzheimer’s was able to leave on their own, at night, in their Pajamas. I appreciate your input🙏
