Riize Eunsok controversy from a Korean perspective
I’m a Korean K-pop fan and I genuinely think foreign fans are crossing the line
The word he used 깜둥이 isn’t really a racist term Koreans describe animals or objects as their color like a white dog we call it 흰둥이, a black dog 깜둥이 it’s not like the n word guys cmon…
Korea is a homogeneous country and in our language (unlike English ) when we refer to color it does not usually mean race
Why are you trying to change the Korean language/culture just by liking K-pop doesn’t mean you can tell Koreans what to say or do
In Korea most fans share the same view as me (I don’t know about the Korean K-pop fans of Reddit ) calling foreign fans easily offended
But reflect on yourselves you were offended by a unintended not even existing racist term but y’all are sending literal death threats to Eunsok
The hypocrisy?
The victim mindset is crazy
