I’ve been researching about historic Germantown and the work that the residents of Mt. Airy have done to combat redlining a few decades ago, but I cannot get a census on the boundaries. Are there any Philadelphia natives who know where Germantown stops and where East Mt. Airy begins?

I have the option to buy points at about $3000 which would reduce my interest rate from 5.6% to 5.5%. If not, the seller would get the remaining $3000 in unused credits back. Is it worth it for me to use the credits to buy the points or just don’t come to closing with the $3000 and key my rate?
