If you're here and not Autistic...
I just wanted to say thank you to the people in this sub who aren’t autistic but still choose to be here in a respectful way.
The ones who listen more than they talk.
Who ask questions without assuming.
Who include, engage, and actually try to understand instead of “fix.” It matters more than you probably realize.
A lot of autistic people spend their whole lives being talked over, misunderstood, or excluded in subtle ways that add up over time. So when someone shows up and does the opposite, when they’re patient, kind, and genuinely curious, it stands out.
You make this space better. You make it safer. And for some people, you make it easier to exist as themselves, even if it’s just here on Reddit. That’s not small.
So yeah, thank you for being the kind of people who show up like that.
