so with meowscarada you had to make it as physically weak as possible to avoid doing unecedsary damage to the goat theodore, and after it helped set up crab it was pretty much useless

but with froslass you can still max out its spatk and frost breath will still barely do any damage to crabominable, freeing up your options a ton. plus you can choose whether you wanna mega crabominable or froslass, if you feel like 6+ attack is enough and you don't *need* the extra strength mega crabominable has, you can mega froslass to give crab a snow defence buff and a lightscreen buff if you really need it, and then you have a good special attacker with 100% accuracy blizzard along with the almighty crab

and although froslass doesn't have trick room like meowscarada does, you can just protect on crab and then swap out froslass for sinistcha to both heal crab and then rage powder or trick room the next turn depending on how much immediate danger crab is in
