A book of short stories with three stories I remember well. Big city/Jewish vibe. A woman walks around her apartment getting ready for an eye drs appt- looking fuzzily out the window at artists loft across the street - later on sees the paintings are “all of me”. A woman meets a cowboy-type at a bar - he explains the derivation of Hoochie-Cootchie (mainly: drinking/f*ckung). Women/aunts /mothers share mostly terrible stories with each other - at the end of each one they say ”how we all laughed!”
Got from Indiana University Library between 1993-1997 - recall it being fairly new. Recall a provocative title. In the vein of Prozac Nation/Laurie Moore. Young adult women navigating path to adulthood., love, Etc.
