Firefighting Chinook in SoCal
N42CU has been making water drops for a few hours now right next to a historic testing site known for hazardous material. It burned in 2018 but may still be dangerous.

Sandy Fire & Santa Susana Field Laboratory
From Calfire’s recent perimeter update of the Sandy Fire, the SSFL is around 3000 feet from the active burn line. How serious of a threat is this with the hazardous materials and soil in that area?
Update 8:45pm: Tracking the Coulson Aviation Chinook ADS-B data it looks like they are dropping water right next to the site
