Frais de Recouvrement Art 106 CO Payment?
Hello everyone here. I just moved to the French speaking part of Switzerland around one year ago so I'm quite new to this.
I received a payment reminder bill from a company called "D-collect". Turned out that it was assigned by a medical testing lab called "Genesupport" that was associated with one of my medical checks in my local hospital. Usually my medical bills would charge me through my health insurance, so I forgot to pay for it at that time.
In the reminder bill D-collect is charging me for a "frais de recouvrement art 106 co". I did some search here and it seems that it's a term for the damage caused by late payment. I sent an email to D-collect for justification why I need to pay for it, but I received no reply. At the same time, I got in contact with Genesupport through email, and they sent me the original receipt.
I paid the amount of money for the original bill and its interest, but I received another payment reminder bill today from D-collect telling me to pay for this "frais de recouvrement art 106 co". Can I continue ignoring it? I've sent another email for Genesupport to ask whether they've received my payment, and the justification for this "frais de recouvrement art 106 co".
Any suggestions what other things I can do? Thanks in advance!
