No bootable disk even though there's an ssd with pre installed linux mint inside

It is a macbook pro 2012 and most of it is working fine except for the keyboard and trackpad. Last time I was able to access its MacOS (dunno what version), most seems to work. It came from my cousin and it wasn't working but found out it was related to windows because when I changed the boot options to MacOS, it worked fine. I still have the HDD that came with it and didn't touch it but my systems are only Windows and Fedora so idk if I could access it.

Is it salvageable or is it a waste of time and effort? The only thing I know I need to spend money at as of now are the keyboard and trackpad. The screen is garbage but usable so I'll keep that one, not worth replacing anyways.

Could a soldered RAM just randomly fail?

My friend's laptop suddenly experienced repeated BSODs and the only thing that I saw was Memory Management Error and I haven't seen the earlier BSODs yet as he hasn't installed Bluescreenviewer yet. I don't even know if he would be able to use it again.

It was working fine when I borrowed it 2 days ago, even stress tested it by multitasking a lot of apps because I was setting up some programs to his laptop. It was fine and all and it never showed any BSOD to me until I returned it to him where it BSOD but I didn't get the error code as it was quick. I now feel guilty as it was on my hands before it showed errors.

I was playing RE3 and kind of maxed out the settings including the ray tracing just to see how much the card would struggle and then eventually reduce it to have a balance. I then got the allocate memory error, reduced the VRAM intensive settings but still shows up. The only time it stopped was when the VRAM usage was back to white. I thought this error is only for those obtained thru the high seas but I was wrong. This wouldn't happen on Windows and when it does, it would use the system RAM as an extension of VRAM, slower but won't crash the game. Any fix for this aside from reducing the graphics just because the VRAM wasn't enough?
