Here are a few full scale models I've painted and scratch built.
The chest burster I decided to go for that just born look, minimal blood, it wasn't really painted at all out of the box so did it myself.
Facehugger, again tried to get that 'real' look .
And the big chap, well I scratch built that one, didn't think I'd be able to do it to be honest but it turned out ok, sadly no longer with me.
Created my own Talos from Jason and the Argonauts diorama using super sculpey, the boat is carved from balsa wood with Milliput detail and paper clip oars....
I sculpted my favourite Harryhausen character and recreated the scene just before he grabs the Argo, took about a month to build on and off.
Figure and rocks are super sculpey, ship is carved balsa wood, Milliput and paper clip oars.
I slightly modded this kit by hinging the panels, I added some greeblies behind the front panel which houses his cutting tool.
I added raised pupils as opposed to using the decals and I utilised a method to keep his hat central whilst his head turns. And obviously added lights.
Apparently the re-issue kit is identical save for updated decals and I believe it still has the same body misalignment issue .
