Alien Romulus: How do the work colonies function ?
Alright, I’m new here but have been a fan of the series nearly 3 decades. I have a question though regarding the Weyland Yutani work Colony featured early on in the Film.
I’m rewatching Alien Romulus and a detail really caught my eye. Early in the film Rain (The main protagonist) is attempting to full fill her work contract and leave to a new planet.
However the woman working the terminal I’m assuming the colonies version of HR, denies Rain’s request and actually extends her contract to “5-6 more years”
Now I’ve only watched the films, even some of the bad ones and can’t remember them explaining the class system, or work institutions.
How do these contracts work? How do you get sucked into these? How does this even work?
Idk am I weird but for some reason this idea of all of these people spending all of there lives mining coal should have a more thorough explanation other than “shit sucks”
Anybody got a lore reason for this ?

Xenomorph x Sorayama Robot
Just got this amazing tattoo done. I absolutely adore it! 😭

How smart is the Xenomorph Queen compared to lonely xenomorph drones?
And I mean lonely because as soon as a queen comes into play, every xeno becomes part of the hivemind. I mean like the alien drone from the original movie, how smart would the queen be compared to drones when they are not under her control?

The last like 16 minutes of Alien Isolation was super stressful
It’s like the game keeps reminding you it’s not over till it’s over.

Watch of the day
Finally got my 1998 Japan exclusive aliens fossil watch a new battery and cut some links off so it can fit me. Such a nice watch ! I got it recently off eBay came in a resin ovomorph case too

Would anyone like to see the Xenomorph King make an appearance?
For those of you who don't know the Xenomorph "King" was designed as a Sideshow Collectibles collectible figure a good few years ago to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the franchise. As far as I know (someone please correct me if im wrong) the King has never appeared in any actual Alien/AVP media. I myself would LOVE to see this massive Xeno featured in something and am curious if others feel the same. Obviously the King isn't equivalent to a real world King, as Xenos only have one sex and the Queen reproduces asexually there wouldn't be any mating. I imagine if the King were to be introduced it would essentially be a much bigger Xeno Praetorian Guard serving as a bodyguard for a Queen of a large hive or maybe even a bodyguard for a Queen Mother. Idk i just love seeing new kinds of Xenos and how they fit into the caste system.
Was this intentional dark humor?
I'm here rewatching ALIENS (1986) for umpteenth time and just realized Frost gets killed accidently by Dietrich after she sets him on fire with her flamethrower.
His name is FROST and he gets killed by FIRE.
Was this intentional dark humor?

Big Daddy(BioShock) vs Xenomorphs?
How far would Subject Delta(from BioShock 2) get if he awoke in a colony overran by Xenomorphs? What obstacles would he face?
