Woke up this morning on day 3 feeling the best I have yet. Had breakfast and then attempted to brush my teeth for the first time since surgery. I avoided the wound sites completely but when I went to lightly rinse (no swishing) one of my sites started to bleed. I compacted with gauze 20 mins on and off for the last hour but it’s still coming up pretty red/pink.

Everything I read says knocking a clot loose is the worst pain in the world and I’d know if I did it, and I’m still experiencing zero pain. Should I assume this is normal and will stop eventually?

Day 2 of recovery (in surgery 1 of 2, mind you). I’m already sick of apple sauce, yogurt, pudding, and soup. Need something more filling for breakfast and for me to take my med concoction with (been getting super nauseous with not enough food with my pills). Does anyone have any recommendations for protein shakes that actually taste good/were good during your recovery?
