Had my house built in 2000 and have been using my garage daily since. I had to replace the sprocket last year and I just replaced the sensors today. Still chugging along 26 years later. I’ve read that garage openers tend to last around 10, 15, 20 years. Should I expect my opener to crap on itself in the near future? I’ve never done anything to it outside of sprocket and new sensors today. Might do new rollers this summer but they look fine to me I think

Change your battery!

Just installed a fresh genuine battery on my phone and it feels like a completely different device.

With my old battery, I was getting just under 5 hours of screen time on iOS 26 with Wi-Fi and heavy use YouTube, Instagram, Gmail, etc. and it would drain fast quick. Just about 3.5 hours with 5G.

Now with the new battery, I’m getting 9-10+ hours, easily lasting a full day again. I haven’t seen screen time like this in years and it’s honestly made me fall in love with this phone again.

I’m going to Europe this summer, so I swapped it ahead of time so I don’t have to rely on a power bank total game changer.

I did the repair myself, ordered the battery for $89 and it’ll be $46 after I return the old battery. Took me around an hour going slow and careful.

If you’re hesitating, don’t overthink it a fresh battery basically brings your phone back to life it’s so nice to use this phone now without a big MagSafe brick on the back or being plugged in.
