Pothos refuses to grow

I bought 2 pothos plants in December. Same seller, plant, soil. One is thriving and the other is just… meh. Not dying basically. I water both of them every 2-3 weeks or when I remember to. They get plenty of light. The one refusing to do anything had one stem broken so I cut it and put in water and now is somewhat happy in soil. I’m not sure what to do about it since I treat both plants the exactly same way and they get exactly same amount of light (I even switched the spots between themselves and it did nothing). I fertilised it twice at 4 weeks intervals. The leaves that seem like they’re by themselves in the soil are actually connected to the stems.
