Making VH11 HiHat work with Alesis kit like OEM.
For the 4 people who would actually want this :)
If you have a Alesis Command or similar kit that uses continuous 90Kohm hihat pedal(only has open, closed, and splash), you can mod a $50 eBay VH11 to work like OEM.
You can remove the 90k pot strip from your old pedal.
Then flip it around and glue it to the back of the VH11 pot/strip.
You will have to VERY CAREFULLY trim a little so the plunger won't hit it. You can then just plug it right into the VH11 1/4 jack.
I just left the old strips cable like in the picture. It doesn't hit anything.
Then you can mount it to a HiHat stand/pedal.
