Anyone know if a kenmore machine would be useful?
Visiting my in-laws and came across this kenmore 117-552.
The wood top has some water damage(sat next to open window) but the machine appears just dusty, been sitting for 20 plus years.
They want to toss it out, I'm debating if i should save the machine and take it home, its within the weight limit for a checked bag if i scrap the wood.
My use case is usually knits and other synthetics but also expanding towards leather for boot uppers and webbing for quickdraw dogs. Currently using a singer hd a friend gave me and an old serger.
I doubt this would replace the singer but could it be a good addition?
Not opposed to looking for help re-homing this either if anyone in western New Jersey is interested or knows a place to donate it. Just hate to see it go to the dump.
