Am I the only one who pays zero attention to which John is singing?

TMBG is my number 1 most listened to artist on Spotify and I've been listening to them since 2000 so I'm more than a casual fan. And I've never been like "oh that's a John F. song."

I didn't even realize it was a thing people thought about until this album when people were saying things like "oh that's a great John L. song."

I know they both have different unique voices and if I actually think about it I could easily say which is which but to me it just... all sounds like TMBG. I literally do not care which one of them is singing, I love them both.

Anyone else feel the same way or are you all like super aware of which song is which John's?

By the way, loving the new album, regardless of who is singing.

Catch Christy Costello on their way to Pouzza on Friday at Monkey House with Dog Water, The Pilgrams and We're Here! To Kill

Christy Costello is stopping by Burlington with a full band this Friday, May 15 at Monkey House.

"Christy Costello is a mover and a shaker in the Twin Cities Music Scene. Hailing from the Iron Range of Northern Minnesota, she is no stranger to the great outdoors. Her music blends the ferocity and rawness of nature’s elements, the new and exciting energy of a house show, mixed with the adrenaline rush of an all-night downtown disco."

Also playing are The Pilgrams (rock) from Windsor, and locals Dog Water (garage/indie) and We're Here! To Kill (grunge/alt).

Gonna be a great night. UVM grads, bring your parents!

Show starts at 7:30, $10.

Here's a quick playlist with 2 songs from each band: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/4LZqxTglHUO3rSmTdCU5ru?si=2CYOULoFSTi54hP0uIECbg&pi=xrq8UhTVSuCse

I personally can't wait... Christy has been one of the nicest people to ever reach out in setting up a show, and I've been blasting the From the Dark album for a couple months now. We've also been trying to play with The Pilgrams for a bit and are excited to finally make it happen. Plus WHTK is always a treat, and we have a pretty fun set ourselves planned to end the night.

See you there?

Taking my wife to visit Northshire Books this weekend and this is one part of the state we haven't spent much time in. Any hidden gems? Non-hidden gems? Coming from the north so anything on route 7-ish. The weather is supposed to be somewhat questionable, not really great for a picnic at one of the lakes. Any advice would be great! Thanks!
