Hey guys. I have an old R.R. Howell no 3 circular saw mill and I'm having some issues getting it going. I out the whole thing together and tried cutting a log. It was a fairly old and dry ash log, fairly large and the blade deflected and wouldn't cut. I found that the teeth were very worn so I sharpened all the teeth and it still wants to deflect while its cutting. Although the first cut it would deflect away from the log and after I sharpend it wants to deflect into the log.
I actually snapped the pto shaft last night when it deflected into the log and got stuck.
I've been looking for videos or info on adjustments for these but I havent really found anything. Does any one know of any "how to" videos for setting these up? Alot of the videos I find are just guys running them without much info behind anything. Thanks!
