how would I flatten this mesh very simply?

Dear all,

I am currently slaving away at my graduation work. For it, I do a lot of scanning things in Polycam, exporting to rhino, printing out and remaking objects from scans, irl.

Specifically my question is how do I just flatten this mesh. If I convert into NURBS, the texture gets really bad and all my polygons go haywire. So I cannot convert it without losing the thing that I need it to have, which is the texture.

I mean just no more right angle, just flat. it can be bumpy, idc, but it needs to be viewable as flat from top view..

I have also tried to apply the texture to a flat surface, does not work, I have tried explode and squish and smash etc etc.

So how do I just simply flatten this mesh. I've drawn what I would like to do it as well.

I have way more complicated things to "Flatten" but for now let's stick to this. Anywho, Thank you so much, you're saving my life if you know how to do this. Have a great day.
