Employee discount worry
I’m feeling really anxious about an employee transaction for myself and I’m not sure what to do. Was going to pay cash, but reg 1 froze. I offered to go to self checkout with the cash, but my coworker pulled me and my dad over to the other register, she realized there was no cash till in it and said you can pay with card(only had cash at the time). My dad ended up tapping his card paying with my employee discount attached. I know it’s against policy and I said as much, but the girl who rang me swears it’s fine since I was present and the items were for me. I don’t want to get fired over something I didn’t even want to do. My manager and ops manager like me, but I’m not sure if that kind of transaction goes through the store level d/e cars or to AP. Can I return the items and just tearing with with my card? Or just wait and hope I don’t get fired?
