Genuinly this is the only emoji I would want to go strangle. Look at its fucking shit eating grin. it’s like it’s saying “Yeah, im a cheeky bastard, what are you gonna do about it?” One of the most obnoxious and punchable things I’ve seen

They are the most BORING seasons I have ever seen. these 2 seasons achieved a kind of seasonal rot Family Guy, and The Simpsons could have not possibly DREAMT of.

Basically if you aren’t in the know, Genndy Tartakovsky left the show after completing its finale, Ego Trip, to stay Samurai Jack. They had to replace him with someone else. could it be Seth MacFarlane? Nah. he was at Fox now. Paul Rudish? Nope. So Genndy had no choice but to give up the ship to Chris Savino, future creator of the Loud House.

No offense to Chris Savino, he’s a pretty capable showrunner—I’ve never seen a guy show run 2 shows at the same TIME, and he‘s also a good storyboarder, boarding peak episodes like Dee Dee’s rival and Blackfoot and Slim.

But he isn’t FUNNY.

Thats all I can say. Savino. is. not. funny.

I never laughed at the Loud House. Do you think I would laugh at his seasons of Dexter’s Lab?

FUUUUUUUUUUCK NO!

Basically the writing is noticeably much more flatter than the writing of seasons 1 and 2, only needing one single joke to carry the story out. There’s this one episode where Dexter invents a device that can make people read his mind instead of the other way around. that’s the joke. Theres an episode where Dexter accidentally fuses himself to Dee Dee’s foot. Thats the joke. Theres an episode where Mandark does everything to the beat of his own “HA-ha ha, HA-ha-ha-ha-ha” laugh..

THATS. THE. FUCKING. JOKE.

the sole exception to this garbage humor was the Wacky Races episode, and even THAT wasn’t Savino’s episode. it was written and storyboarded by gigachad Chris Reccardi.

And the characterizations are…weird. Dexter is basically the same, but more egotistical, so he gets a pass. But Dee Dee and Mandark are butchered beyond recognition. Dee Dee has suddenly turned from Dexter’s dumber yet astute sister to a COMPLETE AND UTTER FUCKING MORON, who at one point, tries to snitch on Dexter to his dad (about his secret lab) because he ruined his ballet practice. She would never FUCKING DO THAT!

Mandark has it the worst. Originally he was supposed to be Dexter’s rival. a guy who was just as smart as him but NOT evil. Savino Mandark not only makes him CARTOONISHLY EVIL (which I could see as trying to carry on his Ego Trip characterization, but that wouldn’t make sense because it takes place in the goddamned FUTURE) but gives him a nonsensical backstory where he turned evil because his hippie parents named him Susan. Okay, not only is that STUPID, but it was highly implied in his DEBUT that his name was IVAN!

Fuck these seasons! The characterizations are trash, the humor is boring, and the only saving grace was the Wacky Races episode!
