Hey MTHFR heroes,

I am reading through the genetic genie report and maybe its the way its written, but I feel like with these results I’m totally screwed. I need some support… I am hoping to get pregnant soon but now I feel like I’d be saddling my kid with some type of neurological disorder or autism (my husband has MTR, MTHFR, and COMT variants, too, though he is only homozygous for COMT).

I take methylated B vitamins and my thyroid is managed… I actually feel great, day to day. I am a little OCD but it hasnt impacted my life in a serious way.

Should I not get pregnant with these results? Im sorry, just the fact that this is linked to autism so heavily freaks me out.

Thoughts on c-sections after prolapse?

Hey all,

I am 38 and I have a cystocele and a rectocele from a previous birth. I want to get pregnant again, and for years Ive told myself “no way another baby is coming out of there again, I am having a c section if I have another.” However, I recently came upon a bunch of studies that suggest that autism is higher amongst c-section delivered babies… ugh. Here comes my multi-part question… Does anyone have any experience with this? Has anyone had prolapses and delivered vaginally and been fine? Has anyone had planned c-sections and had babies who were ok? Overwhelmed and worried.
