How to sell a bulk load of unusual 50 pence coins

Hello, I happen to have acquired loads of 50p coins that are all unusual and probably considered collectible to a degree. I really don’t have the time effort or inclination to sell them one at a time and wondered if there are bulk buyers out here and if I could expect perhaps twice the face value for the whole lot.

I started photographing them all individually and then got a bit bored because I don’t really know if it is really of any interest to you guys. I have been through them in the past and there are all different types. No, there aren’t any Kew gardens. There is a 1997 50p which looks normal in the whole lot and I don’t quite understand why that one is there.

I’m worried about selling them on eBay because there’s always a chance that the buyer would try to scam me.

This isn’t a for sale post. I’m just looking for advice and to find out the best way to do this. Seems wrong to just spend them.

If anyone is interested, would like to take them on please drop me a line. I’m a real person and I live in the Scottish borders. Happy to take a video call to show you them.

Thanks.

[####] New badge idea: Line 5 sacrifice

I’ve been playing daily since 2020 and a line five sacrifice, when you have a missing letter that could be one of many is not at all uncommon for me. Would be a fun additional badge.

Blitz graph in a picture:

Play like Magnus in the first 2 minutes 40 seconds. Go full Botez gambit while in time trouble.

(I won btw)

2.5mg - 11 weeks

5mg - 13 weeks

7.5mg - 10 weeks

The blip upwards was a holiday out of country where I forgot to pack my pen. Got straight back on trend though

The 7.5mg has been extremely effective. I can see myself staying on this for at least two more months.

I make sure I eat enough a day (1000-1500 kcal) and aim for 150g of protein a day. I take vitamins daily. I’m acutely aware of pancreas & gall bladder problems so am doing my best to prevent by losing weight slowly.

Side effects: most notable is mood. I’m not unhappy per se but I’m definitely more ambivalent. There’s an urgency in life I’ve always had that is gone. I worry about this. I also get an ocasional pain in the hepatic flexure.

My target is 78kg (BMI of 25)

AMA.

I’ve played 10s of 1000s of games in my life and only today did I realise you cannot en-passant like this:

Zhu Jiner failed to convert this position against Magnus Carlsen in Classical

What should Zhu’s follow up been?

I played bb7, which is an okay move in itself but to have rb8 explained is super useful for this newbie.

Today Magnus posted his game against Nils Grandelius on the TTT app. I’ve read this is the first time he’s played the Benoni in a classical setting since he was 9 years old.

He won.

This is such a cool update. Post up to 7 moves in an action replays from your games. I’ve used it to memorise a position in the London I keep falling for.
