How do you feel about the automatic draft taking effect in December?

Edit: Sorry, can't change the title - but I misunderstood the news article I read. There is currently no draft, they're just automating the registration system (apparently?)

I just found out about it and I've got feelings about it - and I'm not even American.

Curious how you guys are feeling about it.

Did you guys know about it? If you did, do you think nobody's going to actually have to serve?

For people who voted for Trump: are you excited to go to war? Are you upset that a bunch of immigrants are gone now?

For people who didn't vote for Trump: are you worried? Looking into options on how to get out?

I REPEAT: I MISUNDERSTOOD THE ARTICLE THAT LEAD ME TO MAKE THIS POST AND I CAN'T CHANGE THE TITLE.

I don't want this to be a low effort post or anything, but I'm worried about putting too much in here because I don't want to create a leading question....but to summarize: basically...it seems to me that there's a real possibility that a draft is going to happen. so I'm curious how Americans are feeling about it. Not gonna lie, from the outside perspective it kinda feels like there's been a huge conspiracy to get young American men ready to be shipped off to war.

For example: it honestly feels like the reason why they were clamping down as hard as they did on women's reproductive rights is because they knew they were going to need cannon fodder for what, at least in my opinion, seems like it's going to be a never ending war over in Iran.

Can someone explain the space stock hype?

I know a lot of people are really convinced space stocks are the next big thing, but like... what's the thesis here?

I'm not trying to be facetious, I genuinely want to understand what they're seeing because I'm not getting it.

I get that a lot of money is being dumped into it but for the people who are investing in it: how do you guys see the money being made from this industry?

Thanks.

Question for you guys

Hey all,

A few years ago I bought some shares of Shopify.

As you may know....the stock hasn't been doing great lately, especially after that last earnings report.

I think they'll be fine in the long run, but I just had an idea - what if I sell my position there (it's about 15% of my entire portfolio) and just put in all in HOVR?

I haven't seen anybody talking about it, so here goes (and disclaimer, I'm pretty new to investing so I don't know how to talk technical):

TSXV: HLU is Homeland Uranium Corp (OTCQB: HLUCF). They're a Canadian company trying to find Uranium in the US.

They're currently trading at book value, so there's that.

I'm not sure how I feel about AI, but I feel like the need for energy's never been higher, so I think people might be more open to nuclear than they have been in the past.

The team's really well funded and they seem to be run by a very capable group of people.

Today the stock dropped a lot because of some pretty disappointing results, but what I like about them is how they're handling everything so far - basically, I think they're smart and I like to bet on smart people because I trust that they'll figure shit out (because they're smart....lol).

What do y'all think?

Y'all convinced me to bite the bullet.

I first heard about this stock from another subreddit but was skeptical.... so I've been researching it over the past couple weeks.

I hate that I bought in on a day where the stock is up 12%, but at the same time... I guess that's what DCA is for (cope?)

Hey all,

It's me again.

I've resorted to grindr for my quest for a suitable (LOCAL) dude.

Here's a screenshot of my profile.

Before anyone says it: it may sound crazy but this has by far been the most efficient move so far. (I know, I'm surprised too)

Not sure why I'm ONLY getting pics with no reference item or tape measure proving their girth.

Is what I wrote unclear, or is this just dudes being dudes?
