Having a cat…

Hey all,

So I have a cat (called Tofu), and he eats a carnivore diet because he is obligate carnivore. Fish, chicken, pork etc.

I myself am 100% plant based for 2.5yrs. I don’t wear leather etc. I always choose vegan products.

I feel a bit conflicted when I open a can of tin food.

What are people’s views here?

For the record, I don’t publicly call myself a vegan or claim to be.

Which backpack?

Hi Cat parents 👋

I’m looking for a backpack to take my MC out in. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

I’m CF M36. My wife is 37. We’re getting close to a stage where it’s less safe for my wife to be pregnant.

She wants them, I don’t.

I just see my brother, friends, people in the neighbourhood walking with prams. They look out of it. I think my brother has aged 10 years since having his first 4 years ago. (His kids are beautiful and I love them but I know sleep is a major issue).

When you ask them how it’s going, they said “yeah it’s good”. I know they are lying. Maybe it’s a British thing to just say it’s fine and not say how you feel.

I just enjoy my life too much right now. I do what I want, when I want and my disposable income I get to spend on myself and my wife.

Oh and when I go on holiday with my wife we get to go to child free hotels which is a blessing. We stayed in one that let children in once and the pool area was like a circus.

One of my only thoughts about having them was having people with me as I get older but as I rightly have seen a few times on some posts, there is no guarantee they will be there for me (or my wife).

I just want a cat, or 2 and keep my life simple AF.

Edit: a few replies here are questioning my marriage and not understanding why I’m married to her etc. for the record, we are an incredibly good match. Things are very good 99% of the time. Whilst she says she wants them, I think it’s because her brother and sister have them and it’s just “normal” to have them. I know her well and I don’t believe it’s a deal breaker. That said I will speak to her asap!
