Tried walking without support

Almost 9 weeks post op from trimal fracture with atfl repair. I was told not to walk without walker for next 10 days but I tried today and was fairly doable I only walked like 15-20 steps (walking in airboot rn), some discomfort but not a lot of pain and my walking seemed fairly okay as well. Should I continue doing this, kinda eager to return to my normal life staying at my parents home is testing my sanity at this point so I hope i can fully walk by next appointment. Also how much time were u able to return to shoe for walking. My ROM is almost 70% to normal as per my physio

Also how many steps should I target rn for good recovery

Side of the ankle looking v red

Started PT and partial weight bearing this week (trimalleolar break at 7 weeks now). I noticed the side of my ankle looks v red and inflamed(this is post 30 mins of icing). And i can identify most of my pain during exercise coming from side of ankle and Achilles tendon area. Any idea how to deal with this swelling, already icing thrice a day and elevating while sleeping. Pain is v manageable not taking painkillers since PT started
