Help related pricing for video editing

How much should a video post-production agency realistically charge clients nowadays?

We run a small post-production team focused on video editing, short-form content, pacing, sound treatment, visual refinement, etc.

The issue we’re facing is that many clients negotiate prices so low that we barely have enough margin left to pay our editors fairly.

In the beginning, we even made the mistake of passing almost the entire payment directly to editors because we didn’t understand proper agency pricing and client positioning yet.

Now we’re trying to structure things more professionally:

- better pricing

- healthier margins

- better pay for editors

- more sustainable workflow

For agency owners/editors here:

- What do you usually charge for different types of edits?

- How do you handle low-budget clients?

- What pricing model works best for short-form content?

- How do you avoid getting trapped in endless revisions for tiny budgets?

Would genuinely appreciate real industry insight from people already doing this professionally.

[hiring] We r hiring video editors

[INDIA BASED] Lots of guys r getting confused why the rates r low it is according to this place only!!

The payment will be $1 for basic editing $3 for mid editing and for complex editing it will be around $5 and videos will be around 1-2min short form content and we can offer u videos in bulk too so don't worry about money if u think it is low, we will increase it as time passes and as u gain our trust
