For anyone who needs reassurance

Last year, I had an abnormal pap for the second year in a row. The first year it was ASCUS w/ HPV and the second year it turned out to be HSIL w/ HPV. We did a LEEP and it turned out to be CIN 2 with negative margins. Fast forward a year, I just did my pap and results came back normal and no HPV!

Just wanted to share this because I know how stressful this process can be and sometimes all we’re looking for are some reassuring experiences since we tend to read so much of the negative. Hang in there everyone!!

2 year old meltdowns

Once my daughter turned 2, things have felt really difficult. This isn’t my first rodeo as I have a 6 year old son and have been through all the things. He used to have meltdowns growing up so I thought I’d know how to handle it but my girl is stubborn and has a different temperament.

She’ll freak out once she’s upset at something and nothing will calm her. She isn’t like this with anyone else but me. I normally try to comfort her (I am human and have yelled before and felt like crap after) but earlier my family said it’s best if I walk away. She instantly stopped not long after.

Her clothes are another story. She only wants to wear sweaters even on days when it’s super hot out. She isn’t into dresses like I was hoping and won’t dress up for any occasion! I know this is not a major issue but how picky she is with her clothes stresses me out. Sometimes she’ll insist on a sweater with no shirt underneath and shoes with no socks. I’ve given up bc I don’t have the energy to fight it.

At parties she ONLY wants me to hold her and not her dad. It just makes it really challenging as I feel like my hands are never free…and it takes time away from my oldest.

I remind myself that this isn’t forever and I should feel blessed to have someone that is so attached to me but it is really hard some days.

She does go to preschool and does extremely well there.

Any feedback, advice or even shared experiences would can be helpful. TY.

38 year old female, 144 lbs.

During my last period my bleeding prolonged and I had a very heavy cycle it warranted an ER visit where they found a 4.5 cm mass.

My doctor did an exam after and she said the tissue was soft and smooth and not suggestive of malignancy. She thinks it’s a fibroid or adenomyoma.

I also had a LEEP last year which detected CIN 2 and negative margins. However, my most recent pap came back normal and no HPV (just did the test a few weeks ago).

I am just paranoid that my mass is cervical adenocarcinoma and I’m not sure how to feel even tho the odds are in my favor. She collects a sample tmrrw to biopsy just to be extra sure it’s benign. Fearing the worst…

Any thoughts or insights would be appreciated.
