Guys im quitting cold turkey, wish me luck.

Ive only used it for 5 days yesterday was my last dose and i wont be taking it tonight. It caused me to have terrible akathisia since yesterday and i just cant handle it any longer

I hope i wont get withdrawals. I was only on 10mg.

The side effects on my already sensitive CNS are killing me.

If im making a huge mistake let me know

Any positive stories/experiences with ami?

Yesterday i took my first dose, i have a weird headache for hours its in the back of my head.. but the lack of positive stories is worrying me.
They gave ami to me for hypersensitive oesophagus which i dont really agree with, but my symptoms have worsened to the point im in severe pain that i was willing to try the amitriptilyne even if it doesnt work, but my headache on day 1 is worrying me.

Im seeing more negative than positive stories about ami. Im scared

So today i have to take my second dose of ami i only started yesterday because they think my problems come from an hypersensitive oesophagus which i dont agree with but the pain is so intense its legit so bad since a week that i thought ok let me just try, im desperate.

I have suffered from benzodiazepine withdrawal(xanax) that took 4 years of my life, my central nervous system has been very sensitive ever since.

I only took 1 dose of ami and the back of my head hurts and i have a weird sensation in my left eye.

Im freaking out because i dont wanna have another setback, and i havent read any good things about amitriptilyne thus far..

All these posts make me not wanna even try this anymore im scared i’ll have more neurological issues

Ive been diagnosed with GP in 2023 by coincidence during an endoscopy, i was vomiting constantly because of an active h pylori infection and antibiotics werent working so they took biopts and thats when they seen my stomach was still full with food despite fasting for 12 hours. Had a gastric emptying test done which confirmed GP.

Anyway, when the antibiotics finally worked because they upped the dose, the h pylori cleared up, the vomiting stopped and i felt better.

For 3 years my GP was pretty mild-moderate, i would overeat and that would cause bad sstomach pain that could last for hours and if i would lean forward too quick after eating i would regurgitate. Other than that i was living life pretty normally, i would often forget im chronically ill and would only realize it if i had to walk right after eating, that would cause lots of discomfort.

But then, august 2025 i quit smoking,

And i thought it went fine, untill after 6 weeks after quitting i suddenly lose motility in my oesophagus(IEM) that caused dysphagia and suddenly get severe reflux/GERD

Ppi’s twice daily, barely work. I still have chestpain and burning almost a year later and still on ppi’s

But now since sunday, i had pain in my stomach in the middle of my back and my throat it felt like it was because of acid, took some gaviscon which triggered an insane type of pain i started to get cold sweats and tremble because of the pain, which is weird gaviscon never did that before.. and now everything is too much, i barely eat and im full. I even felt nauseated today which freaked me out because i never had that before except during h pylori times.

The middle of my back near my stomach area still hurts

Also since 6 weeks ive been getting a bitter type of reflux which im assuming is bile and stomach content, my gastroenterologist isnt helpful at all. Im being left all alone without any help from my gastroenterologist my treatment plan is ppi’s and sucralfate and adios.

Where do i go from here?

Im scared of metoclopramide(reglan) because i had neurological dysfunction from benziodiazepine withdrawal, and i sometimes have neck twitches and reglan can cause tardive dyskinesia.

Im scared of domperidome because i have really bad heart palpitations.

I asked for prucalopride but my insurance doesnt cover it and i dont know if its worth 150€ a month because i dont know if it works for GP?

Then erythromycin is left? But isnt that meant for short term use because it can cause antibiotic resistance?

TL;DR

Not sure if im in my first flare or if my GP suddenly worsened? this started after the pain i had on sunday.

Also are medications worth the risk of possibly getting nasty side effects? My gastroenterologist is pretty much done helping me. Im left all alone
