How to work on my CARS 4 days out from MCAT?

Testing in 4 days and honestly just trying to stabilize my CARS score at this point.

Across my full lengths, I am pretty happy with my other sections and they've been pretty consistent, but CARS has been all over the place:

FL1: 124

FL2: 122

FL3: 124

FL4: 125

FL5: 120

FL6: 123

The drop on FL5 kinda freaked me out this close to test day. My main issue is I feel like I’m not fully understanding passages, and taking a lot of time reading the passage and I end up rushing because of time.

I’ve already finished all the AAMC CARS material (Diagnostic, QPack 1 & 2, FLs), so now I’m not sure what the best move is:

Should I redo AAMC CARS passages (and if so, how to make it actually useful and not just memorization)?

Or should I switch to UWorld / Jack Westin just to keep practicing fresh passages?

Or is it better to just review old FL passages really deeply?

Also, if anyone has last few days strategy for CARS specifically (timing, approach, how to actually understand passages better), I’d really appreciate it.

At this point I’m not trying to improve a ton, just want to stop the swings and stay around ~125.

Any advice would help 🙏

Looking for quiet place on UW for full length MCAT as a gap year student

Hey everyone,

I am a gap year student planning to take a full length MCAT practice test on UW campus and was wondering if anyone has recommendations for a quiet, distraction free spot where I can sit for 6 hours.

I am trying to stimulate a more test like enviorment so that's why I don't want to do it in my room.

Since I am not taking classes right now, I do not have access to Odeggard unless I follow someone.

If you know any good spots, suggestions are appreciated!🙏

Testing on 24th, need help on CARS

Hey everyone, I just took FL5 and my other sections were fine, but I got a 120 on CARS, which is obviously really concerning this close to test day (April 24).

For context, my previous CARS scores were:

  • 124 / 122 / 124 / 125

So this drop feels pretty brutal, and I’m not sure what went wrong.

Main issues I’m noticing:

  • I run out of time and have to rush the last few passages
  • I’m realizing I’m not fully understanding some passages, especially denser ones
  • Even when I think I understand, I still fall for answer traps
  • I get stuck between 2 choices and pick the wrong one

What I’m currently doing:

  • Working through CARS QPack 2
  • Reviewing mistakes, but not sure if I’m reviewing the right way
  • Trying to read more carefully, but that sometimes makes timing worse

My question:
With ~1 week left, what should I focus on to get CARS back to at least 124–126?

  • How do you improve passage comprehension quickly?
  • How do you avoid answer traps when you’re down to 2 choices?
  • Any timing strategy that actually works this late?
  • Is it better to slow down and miss questions or rush to finish everything?
  • How should I be reviewing CARS to actually improve (not just read explanations)?
  • Any good resources / YouTube videos that actually helped you improve CARS fast?

Would really appreciate any advice — this is the one section stressing me out the most right now 🙏
