Marx 591 running well!
I recently picked up this 591 in non-running condition, only buzzing when power was applied. The motor needed a good cleaning and lubricating and I shined up the wheels with a Dremel for better contact. Behind it is most of my Marx six-inch tin collection: NYC tender, PRR boxcar, Seaboard gondola, Santa Fe tanker, Rock Island gondola, searchlight car, and NYC caboose. The whistle is a Tyco unit meant to be disguised as an HO scale billboard.
Next up for this locomotive is a cosmetic cleanup, possibly some paint, and a headlight bulb.
