Variables copied as a block in Storyline, IF content is correct? OR - Layers?

Scenario: Training providers to complete a form
Set up: Text field variables on individual sections of the form
What I currently have:
Full form on one slide, with hotspots for each section of form. Click hotspot, get explanation of those fields, and use guided prompts to complete the form as directed. Upon completion of each variable, the field is updated. When section is complete, I want to do the following:

  1. Check entry for each field and confirm it aligns with the expected entry.
  2. Return the learner to the "full" form on previous slide, and show their answers on that slide.
  3. Continue timeline to next form section that operates in the same way.

I have it working with each individual field for the first set of variables, but I am wondering for the long term if I should be:
a) setting trigger for ALL fields as a block? Is that possible? Rather than 10 triggers for the current section, PLUS 10 triggers for the original full form, per section....

OR

b) just put a layer with the correct information, since that will be checked, and once they submit it correctly, the completd, correct input version of the form shows on the initial page, and then triggers the launch to the next section...

This block will be embedded in Rise, for what it is worth.

I would love advice, suggestions, voices of experience as I build this one out.

Thank you!!!

Cameos and Easter Eggs

It's Friday, and I'm taking a lunch break, and could use a good laugh.

In terms of your design process, what personal elements do you include, either to entertain yourself, your peers, or the learner?

For example, creating profiles for each of the Friends when testing a new feature? Or using famous names when creating demos?

My giggle today while creating training related to ergonomics includes a scenario where a character named Rob Base will have to, at some point, explain about team lifting that "It takes two." 😂

I'm in the old Hampden/old town neighborhood (near the retirement home and the new Emerson tower) and the last few days there has been a persistent ringing/high pitched noise. I can't tell where it is from, but I'm assuming it is mechanical on a roof somewhere. It's *constant* and I am wondering if anyone else in the area is hearing it, and if there are any ideas on how to get it to stop? I hate sounding like a cranky old person but it is just driving me nuts!

Had the absolute pleasure of purchasing a stunning NOS Waterman Lady Corinth from the legendary Penchantment.

Inked it up right away with Diamine Espresso, and it writes SO BEAUTIFULLY. Omg I am in love!!! 😍
